Surrey RCMP investigate shots fired in South Surrey

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene in the South Surrey area for a report of shots being fired.

At approximately 11 pm on August 27, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 16600 block of 19th avenue. A male suffering from serious injuries was located.

Officers are conducting neighborhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is an isolated incident and involves parties known to each other.

19th avenue will be closed to all vehicle traffic between 166th street and 167th street, and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of 19th avenue between 2230 hours and 2300 hours is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file: 2022-129469.
