
Barricaded male taken into custody

Surrey RCMP is informing the public of an ongoing police incident where a male has barricaded himself inside a residence.
On December 8, 2021 at 08:40 am Surrey RCMP responded to a call of a disturbance at a residence in the 14100 block of 114A Avenue. One male has barricaded himself inside the residence and police are working to determine who else may be present inside the residence. The Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team is on scene assisting with the investigation.
The public are being asked to avoid this area until further notice. As a precaution some residences in the immediate vicinity have been evacuated. Updates will be provided as available.

Surrey RCMP is providing an update into a police incident that was reported earlier today.
Emergency Response Team has taken the male into custody without incident.
The male was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to local hospital.
