Dossier nº 2023-7011
Background: On September 23, 2023, the Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious death, after a 58-year old man was located with serious injuries on Klein Lake Forest Service Road in Egmont, BC. First responders arrived on scene and provided emergency first aid, but sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries. In consultation with the BC Coroners Service, the man’s death was determined to be suspicious in nature. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and continues to work closely in partnership with the Sunshine Coast RCMP, BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).
IHIT is now identifying the victim as 58-year old Henry Doyle of Vancouver, in hopes of advancing its investigation.
Investigators learned that Mr. Doyle had travelled to the area on his dirt bike, which was located near his body.
We’re looking to speak with anyone who was in the area of Klein Lake on September 23, says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT.
If you saw Mr. Doyle, or anything suspicious in the area, we ask that you please contact IHIT.
IHIT is asking any witnesses or anyone traveling in the area of Klein Lake to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at email@example.com.
