On September 22, 2023 at approximately 10:45 am Sunshine Coast RCMP received a call that a male, believed to be deceased, was located on the beach at the south end of Inlet Avenue in Sechelt.

RCMP and Emergency Health Services attended and confirmed that the 35 year old male was deceased.  The male was known to police and had been living on the Sunshine Coast for approximately 2 years. The death is not deemed to be suspicious and the BC Coroner Service will have conduct of the file. The males next of kin have been notified and the RCMP will not be releasing any further information.
