File # 2022-4408

On July 2 at approximately 8:00 am two youths approached a woman walking her small dog on the beach in Davis Bay. One of the boys snatched the leash from her hand and dragged the dog over the rocks injuring its stomach, paws and legs.

The small dog was crying as it was being dragged forcefully by its leash while the boys were laughing. The boys then dropped the dog and leash on the rocks and left the area towards a Wilson Creek. There had been no interaction between the dog owner and the boys prior to this incident.

The dog owner took the pup to the vet where it was treated for its injuries.

One boy is described as approximately 16 years old with short dark hair, ball cap with a red hoodie and black shorts. The second male was approximately 13 years old, tall, average build also wearing a ball cap.
