Maple Ridge, B.C. – The Ridge Meadows RCMP is asking the driver of a 2000s white Toyota hatchback to turn themselves into police after being involved in a hit and run incident in late January 2024.
On January 26, 2024, at approximately 12:05 p.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP frontline officers received and responded to a report of a hit and run incident involving a pedestrian and the Toyota in the area of 240 Street and 118 Avenue in Maple Ridge.
BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) attended the scene and transported the pedestrian, who had sustained a broken leg, to hospital.
The driver of the Toyota is believed to be:
- A South Asian man
- In his sixties
- Wearing a gold – coloured turban

Hi, my name is Corporal Julie Klaussner with the Ridge Meadows RCMP.

I’m currently on scene at the intersection of 240 Street and 118 Avenue Maple Ridge, where a pedestrian was struck on January 26, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m.

The vehicle is described as a white Toyota hatchback being driven by a man approximately 60 years of age, South Asian and wearing a gold turban.
If you are the driver of the vehicle, police are asking that you contact us immediately.

Police are asking that the driver of the Toyota come forward and contact investigators.
