Police seeking suspect driver

Maple Ridge, B.C. – The Ridge Meadows RCMP is asking the driver of a 2000s white Toyota hatchback to turn themselves into police after being involved in a hit and run incident in late January 2024.
On January 26, 2024, at approximately 12:05 p.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP frontline officers received and responded to a report of a hit and run incident involving a pedestrian and the Toyota in the area of 240 Street and 118 Avenue in Maple Ridge.
BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) attended the scene and transported the pedestrian, who had sustained a broken leg, to hospital.
The driver of the Toyota is believed to be:
- A South Asian man
- In his sixties
- Wearing a gold – coloured turban
Police are asking that the driver of the Toyota come forward and contact investigators.
