Maple Ridge B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP is investigating a single vehicle collision.

On December 7, 2022, at approximately 10:45 am, Ridge Meadows RCMP received reports of a single vehicle collision that occurred in the 12800 block of 232nd Street. The single occupant vehicle slowly veered off the road before driving through a fence and coming to a complete stop in a residential yard.

Ridge Meadows RCMP, BC Emergency Health Services and Maple Ridge Fire Department attempted life saving measures on the driver. BC Air Ambulance Services was deployed to land at a school however was cancelled when it was determined that the driver died on scene.

The Ridge Meadows Road Safety Target Team (RSTT) and Investigational Support Team attended the scene. The Integrated Collision Analysis Construction Services was contacted to assist with the investigation. RSTT will be taking over continuity of the investigation.

At this time the cause of the collision is unknown, however does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

Ridge Meadows Victim Services attended the scene. BC Coroners services are engaged to determine the cause of death.
