Focus on motorcycle safety
Richmond RCMP RSU continues to place a special emphasis on educating the public about motorcycle safety and the dangers of impaired and erratic driving among motorcycle operators. This campaign, which began in May during Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, continues to highlight the importance of safe riding practices. Richmond RCMP collaborates closely with ICBC and B.C. Highway patrol to promote road safety for all users, especially as summer weather increases motorcycle traffic.
Summer impaired driving
As part of a summer-long initiative, Richmond RCMP continues to partner with ICBC in an impaired driving campaign. The campaign emphasizes the critical risks associated with impaired driving, urging everyone to plan ahead and arrange safe transportation when consuming alcohol or drugs.
