Seeking witness and dash cam footage for single vehicle collision

Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) are seeking witnesses or dash cam footage for a single vehicle collision.

At approximately 12:23 am on May 21, 2022 Richmond RCMP attended a single vehicle collision near the Westminster and Annacis Island off-ramp from Highway 91. A black 2011 Acura allegedly went off the roadway and collided with a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries.

The driver was transported to hospital and later released.

Richmond RCMP CCIT are seeking witnesses or dash cam footage from the area on Highway 91 between 11:45 pm on May 20 and 12:30 am on May 21. The black Acura was traveling eastbound at the time of the collision.

Both speed and impairment are being investigated as possible contributing factors.
