File # 2022-3199

North Vancouver RCMP is warning dog owners to keep an extra eye out after receiving a report of what appeared to be purposefully placed dog treats next to small pieces of glass in the Mosquito Creek trails near Glen Canyon Dr.

North Vancouver RCMP received the report on February 7, 2022 after a dog found the treats and its owner noticed the glass placed next to them along a hollowed out tree stump.

"Thankfully, the dog that found the treats did not eat the glass and was unharmed," said Cst. Kelly McIntyre of the North Vancouver RCMP. "Please continue to be vigilant when out with your dogs on the trails and report anything suspicious as soon as possible."

Anyone who has any information about this matter is asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311.
