Bank robbery suspect charged

Langley RCMP arrested a man for allegedly robbing a bank, and he has now been charged.
On July 4, 2024, at approximately 3:30 pm, Langley RCMP received a report of a robbery that had just occurred at a financial institution in the 6100 Block of 200 Street. Witnesses reported that the suspect had pushed past bank tellers and stole money from the counters. The suspect then fled the area on foot.
"Langley RCMP Frontline officers responded and with the use of video surveillance systems were able to obtain a clear description of the suspect. The suspect was then located at Fraser Hwy and Langley Bypass, however he fled into a nearby mall," says Cpl. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.
Langley RCMP's Special Response Team together with Frontline officers entered the mall and arrested the suspect as he was trying to flee for a third time.
A 26-year-old Langley man, Tyler Jacob Goodine has been charged with robbery and willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer. Tyler Jacob Goodine remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance which is scheduled on July 10, 2024.
