Fatal collision in Langley

 A collision in the intersection of 200th Street and 91A Avenue last night has claimed the life of a 50-year-old Langley man.

The collision involved a Motorcycle and a transit bus at approximately 6:30 p.m. (June 8th). Witnesses advise the motorcycle was northbound on 200th and collided with the rear passenger side of the southbound transit bus as it negotiated a left turn onto 91A Avenue. The motorcycle operator was severely injured - motorists and bus passengers offered immediate first aid but the operator could not be saved.

ICARS (Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Service) and Langley Traffic CCIT (Criminal Crash Investigative Team) are working together on the investigation. Witnesses advise the motorcycle appeared to driving erratically prior to the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash camera footage or information that might assist with this investigation (and has not yet spoken to police) is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
