A Langley man was arrested early Saturday morning for Mischief to a vehicle.

Police were called for a report of someone trying to saw something off a truck in Langley City. Officers arrived to find a male running from the identified vehicle. He was arrested for Mischief and it appeared as though an attempt had been made to remove the catalytic converter from the truck.

The 31-year-old Langley man is known to police and was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.

A second Langley man was arrested early this morning for Robbery.

The robbery took place at the 7-Eleven at 216th and Fraser Highway. The male entered the store and threatened staff with physical harm. He took a carton of cigarettes and fled on foot. He was seen running to a nearby motel.

Officers attended and reviewed surveillance footage from both the store and the motel and were able to identify the suspect. The 22-year-old male was arrested for the Robbery and also found to be in breach of a curfew restriction.

He was held in custody and will appear in court later today.
