Stealing stuff in Langley - Bad idea!

Shortly before 6pm on June 15th, Langley RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence in the 7500 block of Morrison Crescent.
Officers arriving on the scene were told the burglar had jumped out of the window and ran towards the woods. A Langley officer and Police Dog Services began a track and the suspect was located and arrested a short time later. The suspect sustained minor injuries from the dog for which he declined treatment.
During the break in, the suspect allegedly stole jewelry, cash, a cell phone, a woman’s handbag, and keys to a BMW.
Fortunately, ALL the items taken from the residence were recovered and returned to the owner.
Laird Jonathan Blomgren, age 43 of no fixed address has been charged with one count each of Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000. He is next scheduled to appear in court on August 5th.
Late last night (June 22nd) police were called at 11:17 pm for a report of a stolen travel trailer from a residence in the 4200 block of 200 Street.
At 11:20 pm the information was broadcast over police channels to
Be on the Lookout For (BOLF). Nine minutes later, the trailer was spotted and pulled over by an officer patrolling in the 19500 block of Fraser Highway.
Seven minutes later, the three occupants of the truck pulling the travel trailer were taken into custody. – Exactly 20 minutes after the initial call.
The three men - aged 33 and 37 of Surrey and age 58 of Maple Ridge have been released from custody to appear in court on a later date.
The moral of the story – Don’t steal stuff in Langley!
