The Kamloops RCMP Detachment responded to approximately 354 calls for service from Friday Nov. 17 to 9 a.m. on Monday Nov. 20, 2023. Below are some highlights from those reports.

Motor vehicle incident involving a pedestrian

Kamloops police are investigating a weekend report in which a man was allegedly struck by a vehicle on the North Shore.

On Nov. 19, 2023, around 3:40 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers received several reports of a collision on Carson Crescent. Officers responded and located a truck crashed into a rock wall. An intoxicated man was arrested on scene for mischief, and later released as part of the ongoing investigation.

Shortly after, officers were called to 12th Street and Tranquille Road, where a man had allegedly had his foot run over by a vehicle, which had left the scene. The man was transported to hospital by ambulance and was not cooperative.

Break and enter into residence

A stolen truck has been recovered, but a set of keys, laptop, motor, and compressor are some of the items still missing following a break-in this weekend.

On Nov. 19, 2023, around 6:15 p.m., the Kamloops RCMP Detachment received a report of a break and enter on the 1000-block of Lincoln Court. A number of items were stolen, including a Ford pickup truck that was located later that night on the 900-block of Ord Road. Its interior was covered in bear spray.

Assault investigation

Responding to an abandoned 911-call led to police arresting a man for assault.

On Nov. 20, 2023, around 1:35 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers received a report of a 911 hang-up at a residence on Parkcrest Avenue. As part of the investigation, police arrested a man for assault.

He was held for a bail hearing during which he was released on an order and new court date.
