Police presence in Sahali

A large police presence was in the area of an elementary school in Sahali this afternoon, following a threats report.

On May 8, 2023, just before 3 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to a school on the 2000-block of Tremerton Drive in response to the report, which was received following the dismissal of students.

Out of an abundance of caution, officers searched the school as part of the investigation and nothing that appeared suspicious was located, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment thanks students and parents in the area for their patience during the presence.
