Police arrest woman in porch pirate investigation

Several packages, identification, and keys were recovered following a suspicious vehicle report in Dallas last Friday.

On March 10, 2023, around 1:50 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers received a report of a suspicious white Ford 350, driving around the Bostock Place neighbourhood and taking packages from porches, along with other items outside.

With the assistance of community members, officers were able to locate the truck near the Wildlife Park, arrest a suspect, recover and return the stolen packages to their intended recipients, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

A Kamloops woman was released with a court date and conditions. Charge recommendations are anticipated following the investigation’s conclusion and subsequent assessment process.
