The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in an assault investigation.

On July 14, 2022, around 10 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to a store located in the 1000-block of Hillside Drive for a report in which a man had allegedly struck an employee in the head, injuring him, after being asked to leave.

The incident was captured on security surveillance, allowing police to distribute an image of the suspect, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

The suspect is described as:

• white male
• 5’8

Wearing:

• blue cap with white writing
• green sleeveless shirt
• black pants
