Traffic stop leads to arrest

A Kamloops man has a date scheduled in court, after police received a report involving an erratic driver recently.

On June 2, 2022, around 10:20 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers attended the 700-block of Fortune Drive in response to a complaint involving a car that was driving all over the road, turning its lights on and off, and travelling at erratic speeds. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, during which the driver was discovered to be prohibited.

As part of the investigation, officers seized suspected drugs, cash, knives, an axe, baton, and other items. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The man was released with a court date in relation to the driving offence.
