Police look for witnesses to Summit Drive robbery

The Kamloops RCMP are investigating after a woman returned to her vehicle on the 1500-block of Summit Drive and was met by an intruder hiding inside.

On Nov. 10, 2021 around 6:40 p.m., police attended a business for a report of a woman who entered her vehicle and was assaulted and robbed by a man in the back seat. The suspect stole her wallet and phone, then ran southbound on Summit Drive.

Frontline officers and the Police Dog Service Unit patrolled the area.

The cellphone was located, but the suspect remains at large, said Cst. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

The investigation is ongoing and includes support from the Forensic Identification Section.
