File # 2021-5152

A shopping cart full of stolen merchandise was located by police, following a report of a commercial alarm on Hillside Drive.

Around 12:30 a.m., February 18, Kamloops RCMP attended a business on the 1300-block of Hillside Drive for a report of a glass-break and motion alarm activation. On scene, frontline officers located a rock that had been used to break the front door glass. Surveillance revealed a man in black broke the glass, entered the store with a shopping cart, filled it up, and left.

The Police Dog Service the Crime Reduction Unit assisted in looking for the suspect who was last reported heading northbound on Hillside Drive. No one was located, but police recovered the shopping cart and product on Camosun Crescent. They returned it to the store.
