In the summer of 2021, the Coquitlam RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit (DOC) initiated a proactive project called E-Nevermind, targeting several known drug traffickers working within the Tri-Cities.

In January 2023, Coquitlam RCMP with the assistance of the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (LMD IERT) and Ridge Meadows RCMP executed seven search warrants at four locations in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Maple Ridge. The search warrants resulted in a large seizure of drugs, money, replica firearms and vehicles.

On Tuesday, November 5, 2024 64 charges were laid against 11 individuals from Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Surrey and Vancouver. The individuals range in age between 22 to 54 years old.

Richard McLaughlin, 28-year-old was charged with:

• Six (6) counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Shayanne McGregor, 29-year-old was charged with:

• One (1) count of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
• Five (5) counts of Possession of a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

John Summer, 37-year-old was charged with:

• Five (5) counts of Possession of a controlled substance contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Jeremy Pride, 48-year-old was charged with:

• Two (2) counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Barry Profaizer, 54-year-old was charged with:

• One (1) count of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
• Six (6) counts of Possession of a controlled substance contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Christos Katsiamitas, 22-year-old was charged with:

• Ten (10) counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Nicky Sharma, 44-year-old was charged with:

• Eleven (11) counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
• Three (3) counts of Possession of a controlled substance contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Hyun Cho, 22-year-old was charged with:

• Four (4) counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Denise Sampson, 42-year-old was charged with:

• Three (3) counts of Possession of a controlled substance contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Liam Reilly, 26-year-old was charged with:

• Two (2) counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Joenna Saunders, 33-year-old was charged with:

• Five (5) counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

The charges laid as a result of Project E-Nevermind should be sending a strong message to those involved in the drug trade that their business is not welcome in our communities, said Coquitlam RCMP Officer in Charge, Superintendent Darren Carr. Our officers will continue to work hard at disrupting and dismantling dangerous and illicit drug organizations to maintain public safety.
