Coquitlam RCMP Investigating a Shooting

At approximately at 9:23pm on January 14th, 2022, Coquitlam RCMP responded to calls of a reported shooting in the 1000 block of Austin Ave. Officers arrived and located a male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in serious condition.

The suspect/s in this shooting are still outstanding. The initial indications are that this shooting was targeted. The victim is known to police and it is unclear if there are connections to the Lower Mainland Gang conflict.
