Facts about evacuations:
• Usually they are not a police event. Typically, a fire, gas leak, or something similar might trigger an evacuation and police are there to help keep things safe and orderly,
• Non-essential communication, including the use of cell phones and other electronic devices, is prohibited,
• Students and staff move away from school property to a pre-determined rally point,
Only emergency responders are allowed to access the rally point and school property until the emergency is over.
