File # 2023-25900

Police officers in Prince George, along with the North District Emergency Response Team and a Police Service Dog unit, were on the 2000-block of Upland Street for several hours on July 31, 2023, in response to a report of a disturbance at a residence in that area.

Out of an abundance of caution, residents in the complex were evacuated to a safe place, and several blocks surrounding the neighbourhood were closed to traffic while police officers were on scene.

The incident began at 11:20 a.m. and was finally concluded at 3:45 p.m. with one arrest being made. No injuries were reported during this investigation.

Police officers want to thank the members of the public for staying clear of the area, which gave emergency response teams the space to work safety during this dynamic event, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
