File # 2021-4834

Mounties from the Prince George RCMP want to thank the sharp-eyed member of the public who potentially spotted some of the stolen items from the break and enter on February 8, 2021.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on February 10, 2021, an anonymous caller contacted the Prince George RCMP to report there was a male in a parking lot near 2nd Avenue and George Street who appeared to be looking at some hockey cards. The caller was concerned they might be the cards stolen from a local business.

Frontline members attended the area and found the male in question. Members seized the hockey cards as evidence and released the male without process. The cards will be compared to those listed as stolen and then returned to their rightful owner. Members will consider charges pending the result of this investigation.

The Prince George RCMP thanks the member of the public who called in the suspicious activity they witnessed. Their quick thinking helped to move this investigation forward, states Cst. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.
