Beginning today, November 20th, the Prince George RCMP will be accepting crime reports through an on-line reporting tool on our web site, Online crime reporting provides an alternative way for the public to report less serious crimes that occurred in Prince George and the surrounding areas.

The following incidences will be reportable online:

In order to make a report online, the following conditions MUST be met:

In addition to providing a more convenient way for residents to make a report meeting the above criteria, this new tool will also allow call takers and frontline personnel to focus on higher priority calls, which will improve overall safety and response times in the city.

Reports from the public are an essential part of determining how our policing resources are deployed in the city says Staff Sergeant Kent MacNeill, acting Operations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. This online reporting tool will provide a more convenient way to report less serious incidents that do not require police follow-up, while allowing frontline officers to focus on emergency and more serious calls for service. Ultimately, this will enhance our service delivery to residents of Prince George and surrounding communities.
