Annual Keian’s Holiday Wish toy drive - a great success
Surrey

The yearly campaign of giving organized by members of the Surrey Provincial Police Support Unit is held in memory of six-year-old Keian Blundell, an honorary member of the RCMP, who lost his battle with leukemia in 2014. Our police officers and support staff at the RCMP were honored to be part of Keian’s Holiday Wish Toy Drive again this year.
Surrey Provincial Police Support Unit (SPOSU) Youth Unit and Community Response Unit collected toys and donations on multiple days. On December 13, 2024, SPOSU members and the Blundell family attended BC Children’s Hospital and Surrey Memorial Hospital to drop off the toys. In total, 1,200 new, unwrapped toys were donated.
These toys will be distributed to the families of children impacted by medical challenges, both here in our community and across the province, easing the burden on parents in difficult times and bringing joy to the faces of kids.
We thank our community for their generosity and support to keep this toy drive going
says Officer in Charge Chief Superintendent Wendy Mehat Surrey Provincial Police Support Unit.
