Shooting leaves two victims critically injured

On Friday, November 10, 2023 at approximately 9:41 p.m. the Coquitlam RCMP Detachment received numerous calls of multiple gunshots in the parking lot of the TD Bank located at 1140 Johnson Street in Coquitlam. Upon arrival, RCMP members located two adult males suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were stabilized at scene and then immediately transported to the hospital where they are being treated for critical injuries.

This investigation is in its infancy and investigators are working diligently to try and identify potential suspect descriptions.

"We believe that there may be eye witnesses that may have vital information that could advance our investigation", stated Staff Sergeant Ed Yoshiyama, the Team Commander of the Coquitlam RCMP Investigative Services Section. We ask anyone who may have information about the shooting or may have been in the area just before the shooting to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550.
