Road closures and restrictions for Regimental Funeral – Oct. 4, 2023

Motorists travelling through Langley near the Langley Events Centre should expect some road closures and traffic delays for the regimental funeral of Constable Frederick Rick O’Brien on October 4, from approximately 12 to 4 p.m.

The following roads will be temporarily closed for the duration of the funeral:

• 80 Avenue, between 200 Street and 204 Street
• 76 Avenue, between 200 Street and 202a Street
• 202a Street, between 74B Avenue and 80 Avenue

Additionally, patrons requiring access to other businesses (Gymnastics, Sports Clinic, Tennis Centre) at the Langley Events Centre are asked to use the 200 Street entrance.

Please monitor the BC RCMP website for the most accurate information.

Parking near and at the Langley Events Centre may also be affected.
