File # 2023

18 Vancouver Island RCMP officers were recently honoured for valour and commitment to public safety.

On April 18, 2023 the 39th annual Police Honours Night took place at the Government House where police officers throughout the province were recognized for their outstanding work and bravery in order to make their communities safe.

I am always amazed and humbled by the courageous and dedicated work performed by our police officers on a daily basis said Superintendent Mac Richards, Assistant District Officer for the Vancouver Island District RCMP. Police Honours Night is a chance to formally recognize them for their dedication to duty and public safety.

The men and women of the RCMP in BC take great pride in providing professional service to the communities they serve. It is reassuring for them to hear that they have made a difference in someone's life. If you have had a good experience with one of our RCMP members, units or detachments, we encourage you to email us about it in the official language of your choice at bcrcmp@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
