Update: Photos of indecent act suspect released

Coquitlam RCMP is renewing their appeal for public assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in an indecent act that occurred in a retail store near Johnson Street and Parkway Boulevard in Coquitlam in August.

Police attended the store for a report of an unknown male exposing his genitals to a female patron sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19.

The suspect can be described as:

• Caucasian male
• 40-49 years old
• 5’9 tall
• Medium to heavy build
• Bald with brown hair
• Light brown moustache beard

The suspect was observed wearing:

• Black Nike check sport shirt
• Dark cargo shorts
• Black and white sandal slides
• Carrying bath mats

It is important for the public to be aware of these incidents and to report indecent activities to police, said Media Relations Officer Corporal Alexa Hodgins. This behaviour is particularly disturbing as the store was busy with patrons that included children.

Police are asking anyone who may information regarding this event or recognize the male in the photographs to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2022-21670.
