RCMP and CN Police are reaching out to motorists and pedestrians as police promote safe habits at rail crossings and tracks across the Upper Fraser Valley Region.

Designated Railway Safety Week, September 20 – 26, 2021, RCMP and CN Police front line officers are at highway-rail grade crossings throughout the educational campaign to engage the public with the aim of changing attitudes and behaviours towards safety and railroad rights-of-way.

Road safety remains a priority of the UFVRD, says Sergeant Dennis Bell of Chilliwack RCMP. In partnership with fellow law enforcement agencies our goal is to prevent injuries and fatalities along the railroads in our communities.
