Comox Valley RCMP execute search warrants in Cumberland

On April 21, 2021 the Comox Valley RCMP executed search warrants at a residence on the 2700-block of Derwent Avenue in Cumberland. Police arrested one person.

Comox Valley RCMP investigators seized crossbows, weapons, over $10,000 cash, what is believed to be controlled substances and associated paraphernalia for trafficking those substances during the execution of a search warrant in Cumberland. In addition, four vehicles, a boat, and an ATV were seized which will be referred to the Civil Forfeiture Office.

Residents in the Village of Cumberland brought their concerns about this residence to the local Bylaw enforcement and to the police. The execution of these search warrants is the result of working in partnership with Bylaw enforcement to address these concerns, said Cst. Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP.

The Comox Valley RCMP Street Crimes Unit will complete a comprehensive disclosure package for Crown Counsel to review and approve criminal charges as appropriate.
