Chilliwack, Upper Fraser Valley, Integrated Homicide Investigation Team

On April 15, 2021 at approximately 8:30 a.m., Chilliwack RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 45000-block of Watson Road.

Officers arrived at the scene where they located a woman suffering life-threatening injuries consistent with a shooting, and a man who had succumbed to his injuries. Both parties were known to each other and there is no outstanding risk to public safety. BC Ambulance transported the woman to hospital where she is being treated.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. Chilliwack RCMP Serious Crime Section and the BC Coroners Service are in the early evidence gathering stage of their investigation.
