Report of multiple vehicle collision leads to arrest of suspect for stolen vehicle and impaired driving

On Thursday January 14th, 2021, at approximately 2:20 am, Squamish RCMP received a request from Squamish Fire Services regarding a collision with multiple vehicles involved and one individual pinned on Tantalus Road.  Police arrived on scene and assisted the fire department with one male inside a grey Nissan Maxima. 

Shortly after police arrived a report was received where the Nissan Maxima had allegedly been stolen from outside the 7-11 on Garibaldi Way.  The driver was extracted from the vehicle, detained by police for investigation and then transported to a local hospital for injuries.

A 34 year old man from North Vancouver, was subsequently arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, Impaired Driving, and a Breach of Undertaking.  He was released on an Undertaking for court in North Vancouver.
