Ridge Meadows RCMP Volunteer Opportunities

Ridge Meadows RCMP recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers in the delivery of community programs and services. The special talent, skills and abilities that volunteers bring to the table are integral to the success of our community policing and crime prevention programs.

Why Volunteer?

Available Programs in your Community

Block Watch Program

The Block Watch program is a community-based crime prevention program aimed at empowering neighbours to come together to prevent crime. Block Watch participants take a proactive approach to crime prevention and safety by committing to watch out for each other’s homes and report suspicious activities to the police and each other.

Business Block Watch Program

Business Block Watch is a free program designed to reduce crime in the Downtown Maple Ridge business community. The program partners with the City of Maple Ridge and the Ridge Meadows RCMP to provide local businesses with tools and resources that can help reduce business crimes and improve safety.

Ridge Meadows RCMP Crime Prevention Programs

There are a number of ways to get involved and volunteer with the Ridge Meadows RCMP. We recruit volunteers to work with our many crime prevention programs which include Speed Watch, Cell Watch, Bike Patrol, Citizens on Patrol, Lock Out Auto Crime and Stolen Auto Recovery. Volunteers also attend community events where they can host information booths, discuss and answer questions around public safety, and even wear the coveted Safety Bear mascot outfit!
