Charges laid in recent homicide

Charges of 2nd degree murder have been laid against 19-year-old Mark Harrison of Nanaimo, in connection with a September 5th homicide. Late in the afternoon on Thursday September 8th, Harrison was located by investigators in downtown Nanaimo and arrested without incident.

Harrison appeared in Nanaimo Provincial Court earlier in the morning on Friday September 9th, and was remanded into police custody to await his next court appearance set for Tuesday September 20th.
