File # 2013-2962

It has been two years since Rostam Poulad was gunned down in front of his North Vancouver home.

On November 30, 2013 Rostam POULAD-NOSHIRAVAN was shot to death. There were a number of witnesses to the incident however the suspect still remains at large.

In an effort to reach out to the Farsi community whom investigators believe could hold the key to moving this investigation forward, Mr. Poulad’s family is personally asking for the public’s help. It is not unusual for the family of a victim to assist investigations by speaking to the public; what is unique is the way this message is shared.

This video is available in Farsi, English and French. We are sending it to Persian media outlets in Canada and the United States with the hope that by offering it in so many languages someone who has not spoken to police will come forward.

This will be the first video highlighting an investigation, produced by IHIT. The intent is to use this type of production as a tool in any investigation where it may be beneficial.

The video can be viewed by going to the IHIT website launched today. To view the video and the website visit www.homicideteam.ca
