Police arrest man on 24 Alberta warrants

On 1st May 2024 the Dawson Creek RCMP arrested 39 year old man, Allan Philps on 24 outstanding warrants stemming from Alberta.

At approximately 8:30 am on 1st May, 2024 police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 97 South and Highway 52 North in Arras. Allan was located in the vehicle and was promptly arrested for 24 outstanding unendorsed warrants.

Allan has 4 charges of fraud over $5000, 7 charges of fraud under $5000, 11 charges of obtaining credit by fraud, 1 count of false pretense and one count of failing to comply with a release document.

The Alberta warrants were extended to be valid in British Columbia. Some of the charges against Allan range back to 2014.

Police applied to keep Allan in custody however he was quickly released back into the community of Dawson Creek.
