Sunshine Coast RCMP currently investigating a serious motor vehicle incident

Sunshine Coast RCMP are currently on scene investigating a serious motor vehicle incident involving a garbage truck and a cyclist. The driver remained on scene and is cooperative.

Police are asking the public to alter their driving route to avoid Burns Rd, Gibsons. The road will be closed between Harmony Lane and Trueman Rd, Gibsons.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or with further information including dashboard camera video or CCTV in that area are asked to contact the Sunshine Coast RCMP at 604-885-2266 and reference file #2023-2927.
