Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying an alleged arson suspect in an incident that occurred earlier this month.
On June 8, 2024, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP frontline members received and responded to a report of a wooden patio engulfed in flames at a local business in the 11900 block of 224 Street of Maple Ridge. Maple Ridge Fire Department (MRFD) also attended and extinguished the fire.
A review of video surveillance shows a suspect fleeing the area northbound towards Dewdney Trunk Road.
The suspect is described as a:
- White man
- Medium build
- Light brown hair
- Wearing white Nike high-top sneakers, black hooded sweatshirt with white graphic, black pants and black backpack
If you recognize this person or have dash camera footage and/or video surveillance from the area of 224 Street between Dewdney Trunk Road and Lougheed Highway from 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. on June 8, 2024, please contact the Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251 and refer to File # 2024-11028.
