Stolen trucks recovered and multiple offenders arrested

Maple Ridge, B.C. – The Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Specialized Response Team (SRT) and Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) have recovered several stolen vehicles and arrested multiple suspects in two separate investigations.
On Wednesday, January 4th, Ridge Meadows RCMP received a report of a Blue, Ford F250 truck being stolen from the 11300 block area of 238 street. On Thursday, January 5th, police received a report of another Ford truck missing, this time a White F250 from the 12100 block area of Dunbar street.
Later that same day (January 5th) as part of their regular scheduled duties, the Ridge Meadows’ RCMP’s Specialized Response Team (SRT) was actively patrolling throughout the community when the team recognized the stolen White truck. The Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) set up surveillance on the vehicle and safely arrested the driver when he exited the vehicle.
On January 12th the SRT unit spotted the stolen Blue truck at a residence in the 11800 block area of 232nd street. The Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Street Enforcement Unit again set up surveillance, this time on the Blue truck, and observed a male and female suspect accessing the vehicle and driving towards the Mission, B.C. area. Surveillance was safely maintained including the use of the RCMP’s Air One helicopter and, with assistance from Mission RCMP, the man and woman were safely arrested. As part of the arrest a stolen side-by-side
all-terrain-vehicle was also recovered.
