On Friday Dec. 9, 2022, just after 6 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to the 5000-block of the East Trans Canada Highway where an unknown suspect had broken into the garage, fought with the homeowner when confronted, then fled on a nearby walking path.

The Police Dog Service Unit located a flashlight and break-in tools nearby, but the suspect was gone. He is described as male, 5’10 to 6’, 35-45 years old, dressed in all dark clothing with what appeared to be a balaclava, exposing only his eyes.
