Police seek witnesses, information in serious assault with a weapon investigation

A man located in the North Hills Mall parking lot with life-threatening injuries has police turning to the public for more information.

On Monday Sept. 19, 2022, around 1 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to the 700-block of Tranquille Road where a man was located with serious stab wounds. Ambulance transported the victim to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Police are currently in the process of reviewing surveillance in the area and collecting evidence, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. Anyone who witnessed or was involved in the assault is asked to please contact police as soon as possible.
