
Coquitlam RCMP seek witnesses and information involving a robbery

Coquitlam RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred at a local Esso gas station.
On August 7, 2021 at 9:59 p.m., Coquitlam RCMP responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at the Esso gas station located at 1130 Johnston Street in Coquitlam. The suspect entered the store, walked up to the cash register and displayed a firearm concealed in his waist to the employee.
The suspect obtained cash from the employee prior to fleeing the store.
The suspect was described as:
- Caucasian male;
- 20-25 years;
- approximately 6 ft (183 cm);
- thin build;
- blonde to light brown hair;
- wearing black sunglasses with a silver trim, non medical mask with a pattern, red hoodie worn inside out, black Adidas track pants with a white stripe on the side and black runners with a white sole.
Images of the suspect were captured on video surveillance.
