Four people face 28 drug and firearm charges after year-long investigation

Two women and two men have been charged with 28 drug and firearm-related offences following a year-long investigation led by Burnaby RCMP’s Drugs and Organized Crime Section into a Metro Vancouver-based drug trafficking organization.

On July 12, 2024, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada approved the following charges:

Farbn Marvin Japow (23 years old):

Sofiya Makhasher (23 years old):

Ishpreet Kaur Mahil (21 years old):

Ulrich Munyangoga (24 years old):

A total of four Search Warrants were executed in Delta, Langley, Vancouver, and Burnaby. As a result of the investigation the following drugs were seized:

Along with the above drugs, the following items of note were seized:

The amount of drugs and weapons taken off our streets as a result of this investigation is substantial, said Sgt Randy Mortensen with the Drugs and Organized Crime Section of the Burnaby RCMP. Our Drugs and Organized Crime Section remains committed to combatting the illicit drug trade and the violence that comes with it.

This matter is now before the courts.
