Prince George

2023-01-19 10:50 PST

Prince George RCMP, Prince George Fire Rescue Services and ICBC are pleased to announce an upcoming car seat clinic in Prince George.

On Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., parents and caregivers in Prince George can attend the car seat clinic to have their car seat safety-checked by a Child Passenger Safety Educator.

Trained Child Passenger Safety Educators from Prince George RCMP and Prince George Fire Rescue Service will be on-hand to offer advice and assistance to help ensure your car seats are safely and securely installed in your car. This is also a good opportunity to find out if you are using the right car seat for the age, weight and height of your child, or to ask any questions you have about car seat safety, says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

This service is being offered by appointment only; parents and care givers are asked to call the Prince George RCMP Community Policing Office at 250-561-3366, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5: 00 p.m., to reserve their time slot. Those wanting to attend the car seat clinic are asked to know the make and model of their vehicle and their car seat when they call to pre-register.

To have your car seat safety-checked, please attend the upcoming clinic. Child Passenger Safety Educators from Prince George RCMP and Prince George Fire Rescue Services are not available for drop-in appointments.
