Throughout January, 392 violation tickets were issued as a result of the High Accident Zone Enforcement (HAZE) within our communities, said Staff Sergeant Mark McCutcheon, Coquitlam RCMP’s Traffic Services Commander. Our officers will continue to conduct targeted traffic enforcement in these areas for the months to come. We want to remind the public to obey by the rules of the road and drive safely.

The Traffic Enforcement Team will continue to conduct HAZE and HVE throughout the months of February and March. Coquitlam RCMP is sharing the enforcement calendar in order to educate the public on the type of traffic enforcement we conduct. The targeted driving behaviour can have serious implications in the harm that it causes to the person involved. Police are targeting speed, distracted and impaired driving.
