File # 2025-7387
Langley RCMP’s Special Response Team seized significant amounts of illicit drugs, currency and a vehicle with an approximate value of $150,000.00.
On March 13, 2025 at approximately 4:00pm, Langley RCMP’s Special Response Team located a suspicious vehicle in the 20200 block of 66 Avenue. That specific vehicle was known to Police as it fled from Police previously while being involved in organized crime in the Lower Mainland.
Officers observed the suspect driver returning to their vehicle from a nearby apartment. As officers began to conduct a traffic stop the driver made attempts to flee from Police, however, their attempts were thwarted. Two men from Maple Ridge were taken into Police custody and a search incidental to arrest and subsequent search warrant yielded the following items:
- 8 Kg of cannabis products in various forms;
- 700 grams of fentanyl;
- 300 grams of cocaine;
- Over 500 pills believed to be counterfeit OxyContin;
- $3,000 in currency; and
- 2022 Mercedes GLC300
The hard work and dedication of the officers resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspects which resulted in the disruption of organized crime,
said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. Both men who were arrested have been released pending further investigation.
The Langley RCMP would like to thank the Metro Vancouver Transit Police with their assistance in this investigation as they were a valuable resource in apprehending the suspects.
